The point of a maze is to find its center. The point of a labyrinth is to find your center.
The other day I was exploring the labyrinth here in Barcelona. The park is absolutely beautiful and it’s a pretty quite and relaxed place to spend an afternoon. It was a place I would highly recommend to visit. I can’t believe it tok me this long living in Barcelona to visit this place. The gardens are beautiful and the labyrinth is just amazing and so much fun to enjoy.
Wandering through this labyrinth, going in one direction, realizing I had reached a dead end and thus having to turn back and correct my path led me to realize this labyrinth is a lot like life.
In a labyrinth as in life there is one start and one end. As we are going through the labyrinth we can only see what’s directly in front of us. Just like in life, we can see what’s happening in this moment but we have no way to know what’s coming next. Some paths we take are successful and others are not. There are tons of twists and turns, it can be fun and exciting but you can also feel lost and trapped. But regardless we keep going. Because that is the only way.
Great analogy… And you get to see a lot of beautiful colours and nature in life! Love the photo.

Interesting analogy! Also, I think in life (as in labyrinths) – there are very few irreversible mistakes. We can mostly turn around and go back if we find ourselves at a dead end – and we should!

Great post 🙂 I agree with your metaphor and I think we should remind ourselves to live everyday with the same attitude we have while finding our way through unknown places :)..that’s what adventure looks like 🙂
